El Papa Francisco nombró ayer al Padre Arthur J. Colgan CSC., como nuevo Obispo Auxiliar de la Diócesis de Chosica.  El obispo electo nació en Dorchester, Massachusetts (EE.UU) en 1946. Pronuncio los votos religiosos en 1966 y fue ordenado sacerdote en 1973. Ha frecuentado cursos de especialización filosófica y teológica en Estados Unidos y Chile. <\/p>\n

En su ministerio pastoral ha desempeñado diversos cargos de pastoral directa, de gobierno diocesano y de gobierno en su instituto religioso, entre ellos: Superior de la Congregación de la Santa Cruz en Perú, párroco de Santa Cruz, Vicario General de Chimbote, Secretario Ejecutivo de la Comisión Episcopal para la Acción Social de la Conferencia Episcopal de Perú, Vicario Episcopal de Lima, Superior Provincial de la Provincia Oriental de la Congregación de Santa Cruz en Bridgeport y Vicario General de Chosica, cargo que desempeñaba actualmente.<\/div>\n
